What Is an Acute Wellness Visit?

An Acute Wellness Visit is a focused telehealth appointment for new or sudden symptoms, the things that can disrupt your life but don’t necessarily require an ER trip. It’s not a yearly check-up or chronic condition management, it’s the quick, targeted care you need to feel better fast.

You’ll speak directly with a Qadri Medical clinician, who will review your symptoms, guide a visual exam, provide a diagnosis, and recommend a treatment plan. If prescriptions or tests are needed, we’ll arrange them the same day.

What to Expect During Your Telehealth Visit

How Telehealth Diagnosis Works?

Our acute care visits combine your history, visual assessment, and, when available, home vital signs to guide safe, accurate decisions. Here’s how we do it:

1
Symptom-Focused History
We ask highly targeted questions to precisely pinpoint likely causes.
2
Visual Exam
Your provider will guide camera positioning and lighting for a better look at affected areas.
3
Home Monitoring
We’ll use your device readings for a more accurate health assessment.
4
Clinical Guidelines
We follow strict, evidence-based protocols to ensure maximum diagnostic accuracy.
5
Labs & Imaging
If needed, we’ll send you to a trusted local partner for same-day or next-day testing.

Prescriptions & Treatment

If your condition requires medication, we can send electronic prescriptions (eRx) directly to your preferred pharmacy, often within minutes of your visit.
Prescriptions & Treatment

Common acute prescriptions: antibiotics (when appropriate), antivirals, inhalers, antiemetics, topical creams, pain relievers.

Antibiotic Stewardship: We prescribe antibiotics only when clinically necessary to protect your health and reduce resistance.

Controlled Substances Policy: We do not prescribe certain medications (e.g., most controlled substances) via telehealth due to safety regulations.

Labs, Imaging & Referrals

When your diagnosis requires more information, we can:
  • Send e-lab orders to nearby partner facilities
  • Arrange imaging studies (X-ray, ultrasound, etc.) through local providers
  • Share results securely through our patient portal
  • Refer you to specialists with warm handoffs to ensure continuity of care
